      Yes, I had researched Wheaten terriers and saw how their hair turned lighter as they grew and got haircuts. She was a cute puppy! Thanks for writing! Mrs. S.

      The plastic foot was from my son. As it turned out, it wasn't really a dog toy so Lucky proceeded to bite off each of the toes, one at a time. She never ate them. She just left them on the rug! Mrs. S.

    I love Lucky. Yesterday lucky came to our school (the middle school). I couldn't wait to see her. She was so good I have a question for Lucky has she ever bitten, growled, barked, etc at someone before she started coming to schools? Will you dress her up as princess for halloween

      No, Lucky has not ever growled or bitten anyone. We have been very lucky with Lucky! She has always trusted people. However, she does bark at other dogs and golf carts!

      When we got Lucky, she was 3 months old. We worked with her right away, teaching her the word "no" for behaviors we didn't want like jumping on people or taking food without our permission. When she was 7 months old, I took Lucky to dog obedience school for 8 weeks where she practiced other good behaviors like waiting and walking on a leash. She's now a Canine Good Citizen! Lucky practices her good behaviors EVERY day, and she does not always get treats here at home. Instead, we thank her and use our words and tone of voice to praise her.

    I really enjoyed getting to see lucky again she always seems to bring a sense of joy in the room when she smiles.I really learned a lot from seeing lucky thank you,i hope my new puppy can be as well trainde as lucky is!Thank you for all you have taught me!

      If you Google "Wheaten terriers" you can see lots of cute pictures. And there is a national rescue group called Wheatens In Need (WIN) that has lots of information about this breed.
